- | Well, at least this time the forger spelled "cmcl2" correctly.
- |
- | I assume this post is coming from one of the same sites it must have
- | come from last time. There are other errors in the headers that rule
-
- .......................^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
- | out the posting actually coming from schonberg.cs.nyu.edu, but I'm not
- ..^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

-
- That the forgeries are not emitting from NYU is mistaken; see below.
-
- Item 1: Path from recent article at schonberg@cs.nyu.edu NYU by Dr
- Robert Dewar, Professor at NYU, as an example:

- Furthermore, there are a number of "joe.ZZZ@schonberg.cs.nyu.edu"
- accounts; try fingering them and one gets real names ...
-
- I believe NYU is responsible for the forgeries, which have been
- reported multiple times to Mr Franceschini who has passed them to
- NYU's computer security guy Tim O'Connor, who refuses to return
- telephone calls (but who returns email complaints with "We can not
- help you unless your ISP provides us with the article", which is
- ridiculous when anyone can read the posted article themselves on any
- of 22-usenet groups).
-
- I also believe that NYU will be persuaded to do something about the
- forgeries when they get socked for $4,000 for each one (there were
- just two in the last two days), which is in process since NYU has
- apparently refused to investigate. We did obtain the name and address
- of the agent for service of process at NYU yesterday.

-
- | All you'd know anyway is where it came
- | from, not who did it.
-
- But that's good enough for me, because that's where the money is.
